Outreach Program

South Fraser Community Services Society’s Outreach Workers go out into the community to identify and connect with individuals who are either under-supported, or unaware of existing local supports, in the hopes of helping them off the streets. The Outreach team also canvasses the local community to educate business owners about the services that are available for homeless individuals they may come into contact with. 

In times of crisis or emergency, Outreach Workers can be dispatched as the first line of support for people facing sudden homelessness.  

The Outreach Workers strive to provide a client-focused, mutual effort to provide a network of wraparound services, together with the City of Surrey, RCMP, By-Laws, Downtown Surrey’s Business Improvement Association, and other community agencies.
